Can I have a 75 watt bulb in a 100-watt outlet?
A light bulb burned out room in my life. I went to the store to buy light bulbs new light, and I forgot to check the watts on the burned out light bulb. I took a chance and bought a pack of 75 watt bulbs. I came to Home and saw the burnt-out light bulb was 100 watts. Can I still use the 75 watt light bulb in the socket?
An outlet is not rated in power, but the lamp can heat only limited meaningful. With a lower wattage bulb will be harmless. Rated higher bulb can pose a fire hazard.
