I have a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390 engine. I had white smoke coming out the exhaust. I notice?

8 cyclinder on the push rod is bent # and the spark plug has oil in it. What is it would cost to repair and how can I prevent that from happening again. The oil is not milky and I have all my coolant in the radiator. Atleast I know I do not blow a head gasket. I also have the change actuator on the transfer, I had problems with going into the third Corridor. That's perfect. When I bought the car the car was not running. I finally runs recently. After replacing the battery, spark plugs, Starter pressed, pick up the MSD distriubutor and replace the coil, and replace the heater core. Doing odd jobs as I do I feel comfortable about it, but instead have a rod, is hard to do, or should I make it a experice mechanic, knows how to work on an older engine.

Change of the rod is not as difficult. Remove the valve cover Turn the motor is up to this valve without tension. Loosen the rocker. Replace the rod. Screw the rocker with the correct torque and then lashing Place the valve cover. The oil on the spark plug may be a different matter bc it could be the seal valve. This requires removing the valve springs. If you do not have the right tools can not remove it. It also covers the risk of the valve in the cylinder, if you do not know what you do. The white smoke may normal. But If you drive it for a long time, and the smoke still there then please call us back.
