A comparison of Antoni Gaudi (1852 – 1926) / Barcelona / Spain – - facade of the temple with a secret family recipe Poty Lazzarotto (1924-1998) CTBA-BR

As it is reported by World Stella Pandellé Russell in their work in art, "… [...] The essence of creation lies in the recognition of beauty, if it occurs. (Lippold, Sculpture, 1973). But the treasure of a powerful artistic work (Taylor 51-68) calls for the responsibility of the Governors preserve them. What is the price that the companies have been paying for such a long time that can consider the humanity and the genius of Gaudi Poty mood? In this sense, Curitiba has grown so much! Proper use of architecture and art! Governors from Curitiba in the last decades of the first projects by Jaime Lerner, an architect who promoted a revolution in urban planning, and the city is one foundation of the most beautiful cities in Brazil. Lazzarotto is the postcard of important Buildings in Curitiba. His murals in the Government Palace, parks, museums, will be seen, near the streets, squares, markets, library and as a facade for Guaíra theater, the theater was one of the largest in South America has for a long time, the main entrance is in concrete as of the close working Lazzarotto Gaudi. As the secret temple, theater Guaíra began with a small project. The first theater was Guairinha (diminutive of Guaíra in Portuguese). Likewise, the other side of the secret temple built in a second moment. The aggregation of sculptural art (Russell 171) to the new buildings is remarkable in both cases, regardless of the elements of Gaudi seem connected to the facade (Taylor 151) composed. The sculptural elements are (See Russell, 150) set to a special environment, a Space created for them (Russell 213). Poty work is also of various objects designed and composed all harmonized together. Both have a special language (Russell 40), but as much as you can see, certain characteristics, such as you get closer to a healthy sense when artists manifest their creativity and power, how it can be observed in this comparison. But it is not transparent. One has to look and the desire to compare.

And Barcelona, the Mediterranean Sea in the extreme Located north of the Spanish coast, is certainly the most cosmopolitan and economically most active city in Spain. It has become more than their desire to be modern, the latest to follow international trends or ahead of them. One can see tradition and innovation side by side (see Russell 372). Since tourism is the Barcelona architecture reflects the overall Approach to life. Barcelona has an old story, the counting of votes on monuments of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles, especially those created in the last century. "Barcelona was a center of Modernist architecture, which were by the works of Gaudí and his contemporaries, the captivating views of them, but since then at the head of Modernity remained.

The confrontation of Gaudi and Poty provides personalization of the facades, and aggregation of social value, an extra to institutions. Gaudi's Centres Attention to religious arguments – - (frontal facade – the birth of Jesus) 02 – - (see Russell 02), Poty and a retrospective of the theater shows throughout the world in its facade (See Russell 2004).

"In line with Michael Foucault (1973), the intellectual practices as discourses that for a mere negation of the empirical status will be like to be identified. These speeches are not only associated with the legitimation of power, but also as someone to reach the truth [. . .] "(Alexander 38-39)

One can set up on each space is a social fact. How it is defined: "[...] The way to do something that is stable or not, when it is always possible, the exercise of an external force to the person or all the way from an expansion of a society with a proper existence, independent of individual manifestations "(Durkheim 12). Both facades enchant anyone addressing to imaginary spaces.

Comparing their artistic Performances, secret family recipe and Temple Guaíra theater facades, regardless of the magnificence of the church itself, one can an idea of personalized courses. The context in each of them was involved, it should be noted that the wall paintings can itself be understood as the creation of today's societal values, represented by illuminating their creations the cities and charming churches and theater-goers, as well as tourists. "The reconstruction of reality through the empirical characterization with regard to the analysis and Uniformity of results is a good way to keep longer the questions of the observer "(Orestan 31). But do not exclude the consideration of anyone.

Antonio Gaudi inspired so many writers along these years since his first biographies were published mainly between 1829 and 1953. "Authors were Gaudi's picture sometimes confusing. A cultural and political renaissance took place in Europe, and that was the context.

There was a moment of economic prosperity and urbanization Patrons with a middle class, wanted to be the melody with the best European new styles. As Marx (68) religious beliefs, observed mainly in Europe: "[...] The critics of the past society, particularly feudal with this one that had to fight was near critics that about Christianity, the Paganism has Protestantism and Catholicism.

As mentioned Gaudi: "… Something is such that we can avoid the irreversible and the Work can be seen only through the continuous work combines reflection and action, the preliminary stage props for creativity. "He was born in June 25, 1852 in Tierra Baja, in Tarragona, Spain. His works have been preserved and its methods of work and investigation are not known. He was considered a very intelligent boy, but always sick. Be Desire something in relation to the architecture to do with the trips began, which she had begun at the time he and his friends by talking to the recovery of the involved architectural heritage of their city. Then he closes in architecture in 1878, where his skills in Condal recognized not only for the calculation were also a large Creativity. His project was guided by Violles-le-Duc, Elies Rogent, where he showed great interest in technology, materials, art, applied to construction and old styles in the Past well-known. He had to give proof of his ability to Elies Rogent gave him the tittle of the architect of the affirmation that he has done it for a fool or a genius. Occasions, been given its jurisdiction to prove, starting with La Casa Vicens, and was finally accepted by the Society of Barcelona. Eusebi Güell (1846-1918) was impressed with the singularity of a wooden piece of iron crystal and from that moment on, Guell was one of its major customers. The 80's one Progress in his career shows his talent working in all forms of architecture, such as, residences (Guell Palace), designs such as El Capricho de Comillas one Pabellón de la Compañía de la Exposición de Cádiz Transatlantica and religious motives – - Episcopal Palace of Astorga, the school of Teresina and the Temple of Secret family in Barcelona. He was of authorities as Enric d'Osso, founder of the school of "Las Teresina" and the bishops Torras Bages and helped the most influential personalities of the religious Ideologies at the end of the nineteenth century. The general thought of his modernist generation, nominated the Catalan wave, Art Nouveau was the format in 1888. But Gaudi could longer the historical boundaries dominates the time to go and the formulation of his own concept of aesthetics, which made his style more evident, and difficult to classify the same time. He rejected the proposal, a part of the local elections in 1905 and devotes time to take running to the front of the indications, The Secret Temple family, until his death in 1926. "This facade is Gaudi's concern to portray Jesus' birth, in which all the scenes and personalities in of passage, like the animals, plants, human figures, angels and the Secret Family (St. Mary, St. Joseph and baby Jesus). Gaudi also caused from the position of the input by the birth facade in the East, because the rising sun comes from this direction, and the facade of the Passion on the opposite side, because of the sunset. "In 1900, this facade 32 meters. There are three doors. The first is on the left side of the hope, the middle one, the birth of Jesus, and the right represents the faith. Matemala helped Gaudi, at near light reproduction animals, human bodies, and figures he has represented. "04" The Secret Family is than a standard gothic inspiration of modern architecture and the largest project of Gaudi's life. He portrays an entrance to the temple by presenting fifteen hundred Singer, seven children, five organs, and this seems to be monumental construction of stage sets. "05

His relationship with people from the church should focus more of his deep religious feelings and intentions. He devoted a long time with Family Secret (1884) and even stopped to accept different Work Projects (1908) to work on it, until 1926. The church, on the reconstruction after 115 years, since it was launched, was a notorious center of the Visitation in Barcelona remains. Gaudhi was as modern but not modernist. He was the son of his time, not because the record as some modern intellectuals interpreted his work. Gaudi projection in Catalonia, but not with the noise of the scandalous passages for his revolutionary concepts of art, and there are those critics who could not understand him. As Repported Clemenceau: "Gaudi was an eccentric man with the personality of a genius, sometimes rude to people who worked with him." But He is also reported to be generous and honest. His greatest work was heavenly Jerusalem. Josep Carner and Oriol Puig (1884-1970), wrote: ("Si gozáis con el Modernism / no os a medio camino quedéis: / el alcanzad paroxismo / de gozarlo con Gaudí ") 05 (Which means: You can have a better understanding of the modern by Gaudi).

If we consider, the new trends in terms of art in Brazil, we note that the beginning of the 50 is printed a new, radical change in all the system of art. In the year 1922 (Gaudi was close to its end), attended one of the largest movements of art in Brazil, and was called the Week of Modern Art. Since that time modernity was always the first clue regarding tendencies.06 from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, Poty was contemporary, all these events. But his work is always still very regional and far away from all these trends. Gaudi and Poty could also compete with other artists of their time exposed to so many cultural influences.

When Regina Casillo commented: "All cities have their own values, as is Guignard, Minas Gerais, Di Cavalcanti to Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and was the presence of the Gods have given Napoleon Potyguara Lazzarotto as its main value Translator (). "06 Poty was born in Curitiba, March 29, 1924 and provides a cue of his fate. It is the date of Curitiba's birthday, said as the ex-prefect Rafael Macedo de Greca "the city that he would never stresses present in his paintings . Get "Poty work is basically centered in murals, where visitors go or not, in the capital of Paraná, São Paulo or Rio.

His talent Lazzarotto said designated life since he was fourteen. He created a character called Haroldo, and then became famous because of his characters. His work is known throughout the world, especially in Rio de Janeiro, where one of his murals was destroyed by fire in 1964. In Sao Paulo, he created the mural called Latin America Memorial. But it is in Paraná that his work is more representative.08 He attended the College of Arts in Curitiba. The murals are large, and the details of his work are never be confused. His preferred materials are concrete, tiles, glass and wood, and as I already said in large murals as in "Largo da Ordem" represent the cars of the grocer, in fact Italian and Polish people in colonial near Largo da Ordem Curitiba. Another wonderful work is the Murals on 19 de Dezembro Square in celebration of the centenary of the Paraná. At Iguaçu Palace, a theater can see the mural Allegory of Paraná, what the facade of the Palace Iguaçu Technology when it was inaugurated in 1953 (same). The most important work to be analyzed Guaíra theater that Poty is the facade. It described the theater of the world (1969). "Before dying in 1998, Poty see an exhibition organized by CEF, one of the strongest

Banks in Brazil with designs, drawings and miniatures, all of which could be seen together for the first time, declared Mrs. Casillo. "09 Differently from Gaudi the secret temple left unfinished.

The pre should be than the fact that the first theater built (1855) in Curitiba are the first steps while walking Gaudi (1852) can be started. But the first one opened (1884) is now the construction of the Public Library in Curitiba. Guaíra theater was originally a prison, while the Federalist Revolution, and only in 1900 with the name Guayra reopened. It was torn down. In 1952 it was because of the public call under the command of master Rubens (Architect) rebuilt. The first stage was Salvador de Ferrante (1954) and The Big One was built 16 years later. A fire destroyed the theater in 1970 and 1975 it was finally to the conclusion to one of the greatest artistic and cultural complexes of Latin America. Only if all these reforms, Poty Lazzarotto, the artist who signed the front facade and had already worked on the designs was commissioned (He has not completed its work). He projected the fire-curtain of the stage Bento Munhoz da Rocha Neto. He created the Fire curtain of the largest theater as Salvador de Ferrante Auditorium, both performed by Laila Tarran, and Carmen Carine known. As Laila said, Poty was followed by the execution his works such as the facade of the theater, and even added things from the project to the curtains. Gaudi, not because the accident that robbed his life.

The facade of Guaíra Theater (24.50 x 4.80) offers a splendid view to the development of theater in the world. Different modes of the gray and white are observed (the Forms of Poty produced were made of wood, providing a various other tonality), as well as different levels of a plan structure of cement, into several rectangles, in so many Levels (Some of them are negative split adjusted). performed as opposed to the panel were using the same technique (on the walls of Iguaçu Palace), one can Observe that the lines are different and variable. In Guaira mural, Poty band lines used much more than straight lines, as in the wall painting of Iguaçu Palace (Taylor 55) can be observed. Poty is the son of European immigrants, and he had a concern for the people from the field and from the show North of Brazil, known as caipiras and cangaçeiros. The existence of communities with different costumes can be seen as one of its arguments. "There are some communities that in total segregated society live. They live in a diaspora, relationships, except the inevitable and the legal situation is generally precarious .. [ . ] "(Weber 221). It was a very common characteristic of Brazil, considering problems of ethnicity, even today.

A beautiful landscape of a observed retrospective on the development of the theater at the time and the whole world if you want to submit the eyes centers from the left to the right to be readwhat Poty. It begins with the presentation of a pine tree (symbol of the south of Brazil – - Araucaria angustifolia – -), and an old citizen as opposed to a young Girl, the fire, and a mask. Then a second factor shows a way to lead into a town. Immediately after, a large eye, some architectural lines and the mapping a couple of cangaçeiros – - A typical person from the north of Brazil. Poty is also a group of dancers involved in abstract representations, and an angel can be seen very close to characters. He puts two ladies next to each page. One is overdressed with a long dress and holding a fan. The second is very modern and carries a handbag. The last moment on the right portrays a centered world, carried by a car. Many instruments may also like a harp, a violin be seen, and a trumpet. Finally, one man says with a hat on the back. The entire image of the facade will remain within the board.

If for some Reason was Poty work mainly historical values concerned about regional cultural aspects of print, as he always does, that was not Gaudi's concern, because the secret family recipe is a religious universal symbol. But "Poty is also referred to as a universal representation of values, no matter, it had regional focus." 10 Thus, both can be considered similar in terms of this notice.

Gaudi should be much more useful to mankind, if only he with his designs and projects worked, had reserved the responsibility for building owners to integrate the values to the building. But that is utopia. It sounds that he had to be everything. Today, with the division work, especially with the consolidated vision of the contemporary world, it rings, that people know exactly how short life is so many achievements for only one man (Gaudi's death reserve is associated with stress). Poty works with different plans and have fun with the band (his figures represented in natural side). It is very interesting noted that Gaudi represents animals, far more realistic than human figures.

Gaudi is considered a saint. He could not only complement the project (facade) as part of the building. Gaudi was a century before his time, and next to Picasso, Miró and many ones, he could of Barcelona, the city's number one make in terms of style, aesthetics, Innovation attracts people from different nationalities to consider his extraordinary production of works of influence Portinari of Brazil's famous Artists. And Curitiba has a special atmosphere of the "elsewhere" invited people to fulfill the void of architectural creations metaphorically with Poty works as an invitation to attract visitors. With a modern vision Poty includes historical evidence, wherever possible, modern building, the opposite in Gaudi's work seems to be because he modern creations include biblical references in particular to a Gothic building (Family Secret Temple) shows the proper medieval architecture, perhaps because he extreme religiosity. But it is not a common theme of his work. His work is as vigorously as Poty's.

In summary, this approach is that the submerged industrial society takes with it all the principles, especially in the last two centuries derived. Modern architecture is coming down because there are no more moral legitimacy of his aesthetic and philosophical grounds. However, [. . . ] "The Modern as Baudelaire wrote in his article The painter of modern life, printed in 1863, is the transient, the escapable, the quota is half the art, while the other half of the eternal and immutable "(Harvey 21).

People can interfaces of the different interpretations of urban Life and open a space for each new idea of art. As Laila Tarran mentioned in an interview: "There is no innocent eye". And it is a Code of rooms in all cities today. Space for leisure, residential areas, business area, marketing, parks, shopping centers, churches, hospitals, and so on. It works of Arts did not add anything to these rooms, or they reduce the functionality that certain space? It is not unusual that people say : Hear "But this mural Poty was fortunate for the government …" Or, "Gaudi should have spent all the money of the families in a very difficult Time War (as Mirabeau )…". says: [...] Civilization does not good for society if it is not the form and substance of virtue (Elias 54).

Like Barcelona, Curitiba has the right concept of property to set the art expression of a unique language in terms of style. "Reports The artists of the past, look to the future "(Taylor177).

As Stella Pandellé Russell reports "… Anyone can create shares in the momentum, even though we are not all creative to the same extent [are. . . ] (Russell 21). And this is wonderful because everyone has a different view and interpretation of reality. The fact that both artists have personality to these places not to be printed only as a manifestation of human potentiality to create extraordinary, but also have the need for an encounter with the beauty, and their relative abstract concept by accident by the public at the building that perpetuate the life of the city and the personality of the artist.

Though Gaudi and Poty had proper style and very specific focus in terms of thematic performance, they can not through the eyes of the planners of Curitiba, could be ignored, the abstract from traditional cities in Europe, some very familiar concepts of urban planning simultaneous accidentally introduced and is suitable to them in the city. So much as you can see how much you see! It is up to each
