Nissan Sentra 97-cv-screw axis with cotter pin is too loose, causing the wheel bearing go bad?

I have left and right, replaced cv axle and one months later, the left front tire off a loud knocking noise. A mechanic pointed out that if the cv axles were replaced, the mechanic did not tighten the flare Screw, the center of the sapwood and therefore feels it is resolved and let go the wheel bearings too bad. Is that correct? I thought that this screw to be comfortable tighened and cotter pin was inserted. How can it loose and causing other damage? If it can, it could have other damages … Brakes, etc causes it? Thanks for your time ….

If there is a secure mother with a wedge-pin, it can not tighten or loosen its own power. The only way it will be relaxed by storage or Damage type. If they are not the crown nut (the mother of the wedge pin goes through) to the proper rolling torque spec, then yes, it could take EASILY They destroy the wheel bearings, not to mention the spindle side, the caliper, brake pads, etc. Good luck with it!
